Summer job: Don't even want to discuss it here. Let's just say that I am praying to God for more patience. I really wonder if it's dedication or masochism that draws me to tutoring or teaching each summer. I suppose the fact that it's vacation makes summer tutoring much more difficult than schooltime tutoring..

Parish bulletin work: Waaahhh

Okay, I'm getting really weird nowadays. Kudos to Char for getting me hooked on Kokology. I actually TRIED it. And I wandered around the bookstore again and bought a book on handwriting analysis. And I've imbibed more coffee than is healthy for a person of my size and constitution. And I haven't slept properly in two days. And I've spent some time trying (uselessly) to download episodes of "Avatar".

    1. I have a thing for eating spaghetti noodles with soy sauce and pepper.
    2. I have a horrible case of post-nasal drip. So I wake up with sniffles EVERY SINGLE DAY           3. I have a terribly acidic body PH. 
    4. I get PMS. As in really bad. This explains some grouchiness and chocolate consumption          5. Sometimes I don't do much more than splash myself with alcohol on out of town trips.

there's no greater love than this...

I suppose that for about five months recently, I was really off the track. On the surface it seemed okay, but really I was anything but okay. I never thought I'd end up doing some of the stupidity I found myself doing. Myopic little me not understanding much more than her academics and temptation. Forgetting to talk to people, eat, sleep, and most of all pray.

And yet somehow God manages to come through in the oddest ways: getting hit by a door with an announcement on the campus based prayer meeting. Getting exempted from a stat final after spending ages reviewing classmates and going over my notes. Receiving 50 pesos autoload instead of 15, and finding that it came in handy during the ILC. Long-lost email from friends. Discovering unexpected sources of support.

As if Jesus dying on the cross was not enough. I also got caught in the mercy fallout.

Finally am through with the paper rush. Now it's time to study for the dreaded Comparative Anatomy of Vertebrates final exam. Like I'll retain anything.

On the bright side, I got my first 4 in PE. Ever.

I don't know if I can eat lunch. I got on the public bus to go home today, and I was watching "Eragon" when the video suddenly stopped. Fine. That movie is dreadful anyway. However, the bus conductor switched the flick to Saw III. Eugh.

Anyway, I suppose I have to finish studying. And packing for the beach. I'm already sunburned as it is, and it's going to get worse.

a little late: over the weekend

ILC 2008: my first ILC in how many years. I went with the DLSU campus based delegation-> lots of fun, total laugh trip, and yet people I could really relate to. We got to Tagaytay in the afternoon, sometime before the first talk actually (nawala pa kasi kami sa Tagaytay!)

I had a realization why I'm in my course. All the more I am determined not to shift.

Slept off-site in Villa Luz. Decent place with a pool. Nightswimming ahoy at 1am! Hahaha!

I didn't overpack either. But that was not a good thing when everyone got rained on in the middle of Saturday morning worship! Aargh! My green sarong bled all over my white psych shirt and Solo Diyos Basta cap! I had to get a new hat the next day.

It was cold in Tagaytay yet at the same time the sun was hot enough to raise sunburn on everyone. Ang hapdi!

The talks were great, even if sometimes I fell asleep. I stayed to watch the dance competition on Saturday night. Lots of fun.

Amazing moment: Singing "How Great is Our God", and everyone's hands were raised up, the lights had just gone golden, the night wind stopped blowing...whoa.
