Christmas 08

Wow. It's been some time since most of my extended family has been able to gather under one roof. Too bad that we still weren't complete this year. Miss you, Fia.

December 24: Yes, all the fun that can happen when I'm with my two siblings plus ten other cousins: Timi, Jarv, Julie, Martin, Maya, Angela, Bianca, Bel, Veronica, and Daniel. Kwentuhan, kakulitan, and food-tripping (all the more since my Tito Johnny is back from Spain with all his culinary expertise :D ) Watching my cousins plus Timi's BF having way too much fun on "Guitar Hero". Watching Bianca, Veronica, Maya and Martin showcase their talents (guitar + vocals + ballet + saxophone). Getting to give and receive lots of interesting gifts. And of course hanging out with everyone. So much love. :D

December 25: Very early in the morning--going home in time to have Noche Buena with more relatives on my mom's side of the family. Andami pang leftovers sa bahay. Then waking up in time for breakfast and 10:30 am Mass at Forbes. Then there was the uber-large Reyes reunion (ito naman, puro second cousins and more distant titos and titas). Got assigned in the registration committee (think: mga 200 kasi na Reyes sa angkan na ito). Actually had a little fun bonding with my titas and cousins who were in the program committee. Nakakapagod nga lang.

Then there was also dinner at home again with my titos and titas (and this time with my cousins Jio, Jules, Nina, AJ and Kenneth). Kwentuhan again (this time mostly thanks to Jio, ang dakila naming UP student). Ang saya lang.

Actually Christmas really meant so much this year, considering how wonderful 2008 was.

Up next: Going out in maybe 2 hours to meet up with Beeks and Nicole in Rockwell. Then tomorrow: Sumilon. Might not be able to update this till Jan 1. There might not be an internet connection present, and I might be too busy protecting my food from cousins who want to spike it with Tabasco sauce (katuwaan na naman...social experiment...)

reunion!!!

Whoo! Nakakapagod!

So after meeting up with relatives (you'll here more about them in the next few posts), I finally had time to meet up with Cookie (who just got in from Boston yesterday!)

Thanks to Charlie and James for organizing everything and to Trisha, Sei, and Karl for coming!

Sooo much fun: coffee then lunch at TGIF (We hazz cheeseburgerz!) then Timezone then off to the Punos' apartment to hang out.

So glad to be find time to kick back for once.

Sa mga may sabit: God still loves you, and He has a reason for all of this. Oh yeah...it's better to repeat than to cheat. :D

Sa mga may maayos na grade: Praise God!

Got to catch up with friends today, in and out of the tambayan. Well I'm sooo thankful for being able to overcome many of the challenges that came up over the term.

GK 1 MB rally at Arellano

Yes, that was the reason I got out of bed today.

Went all the way to DLSU to meet up with Ate Carmel, Kuya Rocky, Rodz, Mira, Paul, and AJ. Left DLSU about noontime, then took the train to Arellano Legarda campus. When we got there, we were instantly deployed to various tasks: Ate Carmel, Rodz and Mira, naging PA. Paul and AJ: tagabantay ng merchandise booth. Kuya Rocky and I were assigned as runners/tagabigay ng flyers.

So much fun pero sobrang nakakakapagod. Forgot to get my ID back at Arellano, so Kuya Rocky and I had to walk all the way back from the LRT2 station to get it. Argh! At least maayos ung uwi.

another YFC Christmas...

I haven't had one of these in a few years. :D Anyway today was the YFC-DLSU Christmas party. Well, that meant Clar and I got to do several things: last minute Christmas shopping, sharing out Mom's brownies to most of the tambayan, (at least for me) discuss with Neulfred about SMS stuff, and of course uber bonding with Ate Carmel, Ate Olivia, Kuya Arven, Dan, AJ, Fer, Ate Tinay, Kuya Rocky, Tin, Rodz, Dave, Moti, Clar, Mira, Drew, Kuya Niki, Kuya Tino, Ate Drei, Kuya Darwin, Kuya Mark, and Ico (did I miss anyone??).

Super laugh trip: skits + egg game + Pinoy Henyo + relay race + "cointest", videos left and right, lots of food, lots of jokes and laughs.

Advanced happy birthday to Ico! And congrats to the winning team (team namin ni Dan, Ate Carmel, AJ, Ate Tinay, and Fer).

I definitely can feel the love. This + the after-effect of the YFC AC camp = more than just a natural high. Tomorrow brings the GK rally, and Thursday my grades. Sana my joy will be complete. I love you all!

katapusan ng exams + AC youth camp + what happens after

Windang talaga itong mga araw na ito.

So buhay pala ako pagkatapos ng 2 chem exams. Praise God! Tambay time galore with Ate Carmel, Moti, Geom, Erica, Ate Olivia, and Kuya Arven. Then watched "A Christmas Carol" as staged by Rep Philippines.

Nakakainspire kayo!

After camp= chill muna, pero lakad ulit naman with parents sa MOA. Dinner at Aristocrat with cousins after. Na-flat ung gulong ng car namin. Kaya habang pinapaayos ung gulong, kumain muna kami ulit. Miserableng dessert talaga. Oh well.

Ayoko pang matulog, tinatamad ako maglinis ng kwarto.

Brains have it, guys :D :D

It has been said time and again: Intelligence is sexy. But little did we know that this statement can be proven scientifically! An article in this week's Economist gives us the lowdown on why girls should marry smart men!!

[thanks to Angelo for telling me about this article]

Rosalind Arden, a biologist from King's College, London, is part of a research group that conducts studies on the connections between intelligence, genetics and health. Ms. Arden zeroed in on the correlation of sperm quality and intelligence. Sperm quality is determined by sperm motility, sperm concentration (# of sperm per cubic centimeter) and sperm count (# of sperm in the ejaculate), while intelligence is measured using the psychological value of Spearman's g (which takes into consideration linguistic facility, mathematical aptitude, and spatial awareness among other things).

Ms. Arden questioned 425 men to determine their g-factor and found that those who answered her brain cell inducing questions correctly had good sperm quality.  Lol.

Praise God! PATAPOS NA ANG TERM!!!

Ang inaabangan ko na lang: Chem final exams (lab and lec) , Assumption youth camp, and YFC-DLSU Christmas party.

Finished PERSEF paper + seminar class + chem quiz. By the grace of God ( who created venti mocha frappes, worship songs, and my oh so wonderful family and friends), I AM STILL AWAKE!!!

After this Friday, I can focus on planning/preparing for the DLSU youth camp next term.

God is not great because He did this for me...He is great simply because He is, and out of His greatness flows these non-stop graces.

weekends caught up in crazy dreams...

What was yesterday? Going to school to do work and attend class. Ended up spending time at the tambayan with Ate Tinay, Kuya Tino, Kuya Rocky, Ate Carmel, Dan, Geom, Erika, and some other friends. Ended up going to my two classes and not enjoying it. Ended up being too sick to hang out though Dave and the rest were already at school.

Today...attending a parish recollection courtesy of Fr. Gil Alinsangan. Going shopping for stuff/presents. Dinner out with my family at The Ziggurat. So much good food, but so much gain on the waistline!

Watching an old favorite on HBO: The Mask of Zorro. I don't know why I never get sick of that movie.

too much weirdness for the day

...didn't have classes in the morning. Girl bonding time with Moti was worth it though.

...actually think I overate during lunch....

...have to remember: we're all still teenagers who like to "appreciate God's creation".

...actually had some techie talk with Geom and Erica.

...didn't do anything productive in my classes (other than convert O2 to CO2)

...dropped by SMS meeting and the COE-CED hh as well. Didn't spend much time in either

Yes, this is how the end of the term is now for me.

Why real guys say they have it better than Edward Cullen

Got this from Kuya Darwin.

10. We can holler on top of our voice “We’re alive!”

9. Our “family” at least looks a bit like us and are warm blooded.

8. Our skin may not sparkle in sunlight but we get a nice tan.

7. At least our pictures in our albums change.

6. We’re proud to show our mates our birth certificate- bet Edward has a fake one.

5. We’re fans of “Dusk Till Dawn”, “Fright Night” and “Real Vampire Killers”.

4. Our girlfriends and wives will see us in our 20s, 30s, 40s and forget the rest.

3. We didn’t graduate several times from high school.

2. We don’t consider our girlfriends or wives----“prey”.

1. We can sing to our loved one Adam Sandler’s Wedding Singer Song “Grow Old With You”

PAPJA days+ GK +AC faci training

Lahat naasikasuhan sa isang araw: acads, psych, at YFC.

FRIDAY: Awfully early calltime! Spent the entire morning at the registration desk for PAPJA, before slipping out at lunch for tambay time with YFC friends, then going with blockmates to GK Hiyas ng Maynila for our citigov work. Then it was back to DLSU to meet up with my friends before going home to help out with the AC faci training. So much fun, but also such a challenge! Got to bond with the AC girls, plus Clar's HS-based household. Kuya Tino and AJ also came by for dinner.

TODAY: More early call time. This time, Minseun and I had to actually help out with Sir Kintanar's workshop. Astig talaga! Then we had to usher people before the career talks in the afternoon. At least we were in the first set of ushers, so we were allowed to go home early.

Sa SMS friends: Great job!

To all the AC service team members: I wish you the best and God bless! Panalo na si God.

The story with a pair of glasses + something about the Refiner's Fire

Imagine waking up with blurry vision.

Imagine finding something in your room. It's square, by the feel of your hands. It has lots of colors in different shapes, at least that's what you can tell. However, the thing is that you can't exactly understand what it is that you're looking at. You know it's there, but what is it, really?

Then you reach to your right. There's something strange in your hand now. It's smooth, oddly shaped, and feels like it belongs on your face---even if you don't know if it's going to fit. You put whatever it is to your face, right on top of your eyes...

...and realize you're staring right into the world's most beautiful masterpiece of a painting, more intricate and detailed than any work of art you've ever seen in your life. And then you realize that without the glasses on your face, you would have quite a hard time recognizing the painting for what it is (but it's not impossible, mind you).

The same can be said for having religion, or choosing to follow God. The painting would exist without the glasses, but we need the glasses to better understand the painting. Likewise, God would still be there even if we did not choose to follow Him. We might come across His majesty through reason, but that is a very difficult thing to do. However, by professing our faith and choosing to follow Him in a certain way, that is how we come to know and love Him in a better, more personal way.

***

Today was...a blessing I could not contain. Everything: TREDTWO class + trip to 168 with my citigov groupmates and Jido for part of our project implementation + talking to Sir Kintanar for a bit+ tambay time all the way to worship and going home...it was as if everything was starting to gel together at last.

This entire month has been the Refiner's fire for me. Through hardships, I grow, people learn and grow...and God's glory comes through in the end. Whether it's the actual flame or the pure gold at the end...God is still praised.

As odd as it sounds....thank YOU for this month.

Signature Strengths ko naman...

I followed the link on Sir Kintanar's blog (check out: http://www.authentichappiness.sas.upenn.edu/default.aspx) And this is the analysis I got:

Top Signature Strengths:

1. Spirituality, sense of purpose and faith

2. Love of Learning

3. Creativity, ingenuity, and originality

4. Kindness and generosity

5. Gratitude

I am definitely not surprised with this turnout. These are the things that are "obvious" when people get to know me, no matter what setting I am in. Though some people would argue that the gratitude part is "slow" where I am concerned, it's mainly because I prefer to reciprocate in kind or by doing some small favor for a person I have to thank, as opposed to giving verbal affirmation. And of course, as always, it's my faith that can keep me grounded. Though I carp and cry a lot, I still manage to find some sense of purpose at the end of the day, or to take time out to pray.

I'm not surprised that I also scored relatively high on being brave, being able to love and be loved, being able to appreciate beauty, being zestful and energetic, and being curious about the world.

Now for the things that I could improve in:

1. Self-control

2. Modesty and humility

3. Caution and discretion

4. Humor and playfulness

5. Forgiveness and mercy

....okay...now I understand some more of what's been up with me (and some areas of my life) nowadays. I suppose this lack of strength in these areas can explain why I have a tendency to blow up a lot at my friends, to get into plenty of fights and to freak out a lot.

Oddly enough though, God gives me opportunities to work on these areas (in fact some of those opportunities are right next to me even as I type this). These people/situations/subjects/circumstances/disabilities in my life are not supposed to be hindrances, but perhaps they are ways for me to work on my "weaknesses" as a person.

Actually, I'm going to have to take some time to work on these areas. Soon. If I want to be able to do the one thing I know I have to do....

The what would you do survey...

I got this from Kat D again.

1. You realize that you have a lump on your chest. You go to the doctor & he tells you that you have breast cancer. What do you do?

Be shocked, panic, ask for a second opinion, and start praying really hard.

2. You hear through rumors that your boyfriend (if you don't have one, pretend you do) is going to break up with you, but you're not entirely sure. The next day, you see him walking down the hall with another girl. What do you do?

Greet him as usual and ask if he's forgetting something...

3. You're babysitting for the kids next door and the dad offers to drive you home. It's late, you're pretty sure your parents aren't home, and it's dark outside, When you're alone in the room, he touches you inappropriately and whispers nasty stuff in your ear, making your very uncomfortable. What do you do?

Slap him and kick him out of the house. Screaming the entire time.

4. You're at a party and you're the only one there that isn't drunk yet. Everything is a disaster; there's furniture thrown all over the place. Two guys just start to get in a fight and a guy gets seriously injured. Everyone else is too drunk to notice and you didn't bring your cell & don't know where the phone is. What do you do?

Get the cell of the nearest person and call emergency (118 ba?) then try to do some first-aid!

5. You walk into the room and notice your sister has a gun to her head and is about to commit suicide. What do you do, and what do you tell her?

Find a way to get the gun out of her hand. Then not let her out of my sight while I get help (di ko pa yan kaya kahit psych major ako!)

6. You're walking in the woods and you come face to face with a ferocious looking bear that starts to charge at you. What do you do?

Freeze and try not to cry.

7. Your parents told you NOT to have any parties while they were gone for the weekend, and for once, you agreed. However, your best friend has other ideas and brings about 50 people with her to your house. Before you know it, it's a full-fledged party and you have to get them out. What do you do?

Turn off the lights, turn off the music and even put people out of the house myself.

8. You're walking home from a friend's one summer night and you just realized your top & shorts don't cover up much. A bunch of guys walk up to you and stare at you and call out stuff and it's really pissing you off. What do you do?

Walk off and then run after some time.

9. Lately you haven't really been sure about your sexuality and is deciding whether or not you're a lesbian or not. But then at lunch the next day, you realize most of your friends turn out to absolutely hate lesbians with a passion, and you think you are one. What do you do?

...keep it to myself...for now...

10. You're home alone and you're being clumsy. When you go into your mom's room to get something, you accidentally knock over your mom's jewelry box that the women in her family have passed down for generations. It shatters into millions of unfixable pieces and you would feel so bad telling her. What do you do?

Tell her. Quickly. Then brace myself for impending doom.

11. Whenever your crush signs on, you always click on him and write little love messages in the box, debating whether or not to send them. But one day, you accidentally do, and the message is extremely sappy and lovey-dovey. What do you do?

Scream to myself before typing back" Ay, wrong send!" --preferably before he says anything!!

12. You go all out and splurge on a verrrrry expensive gift for your boyfriend for Christmas, only to find out he gets you a cheesy card with a $10 bill on it. How do you react or what do you do?

Smile and hug him. He's got to have a good reason, right?

13. You're sitting innocently enjoying your coffee at the local coffee shop when two drunk men enter with guns and switchblades demanding for the cash register to hand over all the money. What do you do?

Quietly exit the coffeeshop, all the while keeping a description of the men should in case I encounter a police officer. Or I'll do what I did the last time this thing happened to me: prepare to duck!

14. The guy you've had a crush on for a long time dumps his girlfriend for you and she finds out. She's over 6 feet tall and does kickboxing 3 nights a week... and she wants to fight with you after school. You know you'll get the crap kicked out of you. What do you do?

Find some smart way to hide. And preferably ask my crush to please calm her down before the worst happens.

15. You got a bad mark on your test that you don't think you deserved, so you go and talk to your teacher. You try to open his class room, but it's locked. There's paper over the door but you can just faintly see that.. oh my god. He's making out with some poor freshman! What do you do?

RUN. And find some way to heal my scarred mind.

16. You just got into a relationship with a guy and you're already having doubts because he's a bit of a horn dog. You want to tell him to slow things down but you're afraid he'll get mad & you don't know how to say it. What do you do?

Say NO.

17. Your boyfriend invites you over for dinner with his parents, and you quickly discover that they are the most annoying and snobby people you have ever met. You don't want to disrespect them, because you really like the guy, but you can't stand sitting at the same table as them anymore. What do you do?

Keep my cool till after dinner. Then ask my boyfriend if there's anything else we can do to make the getting-to-know-you proccess any easier...

18. There's a new girl at school that's copying everything you do! The way you dress, talk, act and look, she does it all too. You don't want to cause a scene by yelling at her because she doesn't have any friends, but you want it to stop. What do you do?

Calmly reason with her. But should it bother me anyway?

19. You leave your binder in the gym and it says 'I <3 ____' (insert your crush's name there) all over the inside of it. The football team manages to get a hold of it and since your crush is the quarterback of the team he sees it too. The whole team makes fun of you, but it turns out that he may like you too. What do you do?

Give myself two days to get over the embarrassment...and wait for my crush to talk to me.

20. You brought a peanut butter sandwich to school and forgot about the whole no peanuts rule. The kid next to you has a severe allergenic reaction and has to get rushed off to the hospital. What do you do?

Apologize profusely.

21. You and your friends are passing notes during a boring geography class and the teacher catches you sticking up your middle finger at her, even though it was your friend beside you! Your friend is in big trouble already and one more detention will land her a one week suspension. She looks at you desperately, wanting you to take the blame. You know if you do you'll get in trouble, but if you snitch on her who knows what'll happen to your friendship. What do you do?

Cringe.

22. Your boyfriend left his cell at your house. You feel the need to look in his calls inbox and find a lot of them from a girl named Laura. You don't know who she is or who she is in relation to him, but you're pretty sure that your boyfriend may be up to no good. What do you do?

Give the cellphone back to him and mention that I did look at his inbox. And hint that yes, I am not particularly happy with what I found.

23. You're going to the school dance and tell your mom to bring a nice outfit for you to the office at lunch so you can change into it afterwards. She ends up bringing the ugliest thing ever, just as bad as the tee and sweats you wore to school today since you had cramps, expecting her to bring the hot outfit you laid out on your dresser. What do you do?

Go home to change. I'll be late for all I care.

day of surprises

Actually I did have an agenda for the day...just not what actually happened.

I was counting on working on the PERSEF2 paper when Trisha reminded me about the PAPJA orientation. Yikes! Good thing that most of us were able to make it. I'm teaming up with Rhea to assist the workshop on Work Habits. And I'm pretty sure that some prof has a sense of humor, since Trish and Mac are staffing the workshop on attachment theory. Hehehe.

Next: lunch with Singaporean students, plus Ate Regz, Ate Carmel, Pert, Patrick, and AJ. Sooo much fun, bonding with Rachel, talking about GK and life in the Philippines, Singaporean education, etc.

Chem class: somehow managed to do better than usual.

Tambay with Kuya Tino, Arven, AJ, Patrick, Pert, Ico, Fer, Moti, and Ate Olivia: okay so I did get some work done. Praise God for that.

reestablishing equilibrium

Somehow now that the fog is lifting, I can better see the cracks that have formed in that glass sphere of my life. It's my third day of trying to correct the trail of brokeness that I left in six days.

No, I'm not going to be the same after all of this. I think God is trying to tell me to keep things simple.

How? Just love Him simply. Forget conditions, procrastinations, philosophical drivel and even psychoanalysis. I have to let go and allow Him to be God, to show His majesty in the way He sees it fit to do so.

I suppose the same goes even for my relationships. I should not be afraid to say what I should be saying. I should swallow my pride to allow me to say "I'm sorry", "I forgive you," "Thank you" and "I love you."

pulling things together

Day 2....of having things come topside

-TREDTWO paper!! Astig na astig nga lang. Things finally falling into place...

-Biopsych: a very enlightening discussion with Ms. Lajom.

Maybe I've had so many scars on my psyche already, maybe I have been living nineteen years with handicaps and issues...but that does not mean that healing is impossible.

-Lower household with Dave and AJ. Missed everyone else. Kim caught up later, and we got to talk for a bit.

-Tambay after: a discussion with Karl about everything and anything. Bonding with Ate Ynah and Paul. More bonding with Lara and AJ over nai cha. Later met up with the others. Dan dropped by the tambayan for the first time in...eight days? Hahaha! Di yata magkakabuo ung upper hh na naman for some more weeks.

Later...worship and maybe service meeting.

By the grace of God, I'll keep up this pace and stand firm in the faith. I claim that for the first time in five years, I will not succumb to the depression and stress that sometimes holds me back. I will end the year strong.

narcoleptic? or just tired?

I think 6 days of stress finally caught up with me. I felt tired most of the day (though otherwise I was pretty happy).

Well, chem was a little frustrating at times, but well...things will get better. I almost fainted from hunger while studying a biopsych lesson on HUNGER AND EATING. Breaktime was pretty fine actually, what with a little relaxation and kidding around with YFC friends. FILDLAR was great except for that short spell of falling asleep in front of the teacher's desk. Almost got a free cut in CITIGOV. Got to stay for worship, but I fell asleep on the bus.

So not a good thing. Should rest actually.

astig ni God...talaga

I was just about to give up already.

Then today gave me more than enough reminders that yes, God is still there and can turn everything around once again.

Six days of feeling lost and faithless...but now God gave me another tap on the shoulder. He was carrying me all along.

PAPJA orientation+ service meeting+ SMS teambuilding

Yeah, I was planning to go to school at 9am yesterday just to hang out. That was until I got a text from Trish asking about the PAPJA orientation. Yikes! Went to Goks to meet up with SMS friends for the activity. So much to do!

YFC service meeting re: the camp. Got to talk to Kuya Marco, Kuya Tino, and Dave for a bit. Had to leave before the rest could catch up for hh. Will keep everyone posted about details for youth camp! I am so excited for this opportunity to serve God in this way again.

SMS teambuilding: Ahhh, so much fun. Kudos to Sam T for helping us get a great venue! Super bonding with Ate May, Ate Apple, Ate Pao, Kuya Raffy and my fellow junior comm members Sam T, Sam I, Neulfred, Carlo, Bryan, Nica, Alennie, and Crick. More ideas in the works...sana matuloy naman!

with two hours to go before class....

Hm, what's going on?

Tambayan quiet: Rodz and Geom are reading, Kuya Niki and Clar are talking. Josh, Drew, and Moti are elsewhere, studying. Then the others are in class/haven't arrived yet. Kuya Rocky is dealing with an enrollment bugaboo. Most of the noise is coming from Green Giant Radio playing in the background.

Presentation for biopsych went well. Praise God for that. Two more "case studies" left for me.

Tomorrow: hh, meeting, teambuilding. I'm so excited...especially considering the fact that I have decided to snap out of the funk I've been for some days now. I'm tired of being sad, of regretting, of crying while I'm praying, and of worrying while I'm waiting. Bahala na lang si God kung paano maayos itong area ng buhay ko.

Ok...here it goes. Time to do some CLASIKO work.

Monday, November 10, 2008

one of those nicely manic Mondays

So this is how my (odd) day went:

-I actually was almost late for my TREDTWO exam thanks to a train block-up at EDSA station. Yikes. To think the block-up was resolved just minutes after Clar and I went to take a jeep.

-Biopsych class: everything about drug addictions. Am I a caffiene addict?

-Chemlab: discovered the "joys" of titrating solutions. And once again proved how mathematically challenged I can be at times.

-Unexpected tambay time: with say, forty minutes to spare, I had enough time to go to the tambayan. As expected, got a little teasing about my *dancing* last Saturday. And hey, I actually had time to have dessert before class also!

-PERSEF2: So much fun, despite being put on the spotlight to give a hastily written speech about young Filipinos

-After school tambay + study + worship = it's one of the simple joys of the day.

Somehow I don't think I can completely crawl back into my old skin anymore.

a different kind of misadventure

DISCLAIMER: What happened last night was I swear, some completely different side of me. :P :P

Of course I had to go. After all, it's not every day that SMS throws an acquaintance party and ties up with ECES. And of course it's not every day that I can go out with my friends/ka-households in a non-school or non-YFC context. :P And definitely, it's not every day that my parents allow me to such things.

Actually I'm not exactly sure myself what happened last night. I don't normally get out on the dance floor. Or dare my friends to dance. Or enjoy watching a fashion show. Or chat up that many people at a party. Or even stay sober during a party.

But all of that happened. And believe it or not, I had fun.

lunch, households, AC yearbook, and shopping....

Yeah, that's how I best sum up my day.

I woke up late. Gah. What's new on a Friday? I went with Clar to DLSU since she had to meet her blockmates, and since Dave and I agreed to meet up with Gayle, Josh, Rhea, and Ico for lower hh (week 3, version .5).

Aside from lower hh...tambay and lunch with Dan, Kuya Arven, AJ, Ate Carmel, Ate Olivia, Kuya Niki, Ico, Drew, Josh, Kuya Tino, Ate Ynah, Vlad, Gayle, Mira, and Clar's blockmates. The day also ended up with execom household (with the inclusion of Kuya Niki, AJ, Fer, and Josh). Wow. I really loved what we had to discuss,

After this, I was headed off to AC to get my yearbook. Met Cathy on the way out of AC, so we just rode together. Met up with Angela Nunez and Celine Santos on-campus where we went to get our yearbooks. Good job guys, (though of course there is always room for improvement).

To Beeks: I really am so thankful that you did my writeup!

After this, I went with Clar to shop for some school supplies and...clothes for tomorrow's events. Nuff said. Hahaha. I hope I have enough resources to er, survive this weekend!!

Tomorrow: catching up on homework before going to LUMINOUS. Ay yay yay....

victorious day: householdS and more super-tambay

Hulog ng langit. That's the best way to describe this day. After watching "Batman: The Dark Knight" for TREDTWO and sitting in an interesting biopsych lecture...

...I attended/dropped by THREE households today. First was of course, the CLA-CCS household. Thanks to Dave, AJ, Paolo, and Jed! It was a blessing to have household with the four of you. I hope that someday, our entire HH will be complete!

I got a short breather in the form of super-tambay time with so many people: Kuya Niki, Karl, Dan, Paul, Lara, Kuya Arven, Moti, Mira, Rocky, Kuya Tino, Rodz, Ate Carmel, Drew, Ate Ynah, Geom, Fer, Charles and of course my hh. Laugh trip to the max, super fun, so much love. And no, I will not have bangungot tonight. You were all actually pretty good to me today. :)

Then there was the CED-COE hh, which Ate Carmel and I attended just to support. Kudos to Kuya Arven and Ate Ynah! Thanks to Lloyd, Drew, and Geom!

I only had time to drop by the CBE-COS hh, but I am so happy for Karl, Mira, Paul, and Moti. Astig talaga kayo.

To my fellow household heads: we really should do this more often! :) :) :) Praise God. So many victories for today. So many blessings. Just the best.

somehow this week can leave me thankful and breathless

Somehow the Spirit has a way of leading me to scenarios to either reach out or learn.

MONDAY: Yes, the aftermath of the Metrocon sunburn! ahaha! At least I was able to get through my schoolwork just fine (lectures, skit preparation, handling HCl of the concentrated sorts, impromptu report with Kits in PERSEF2) and attend worship.

TUESDAY: Praise God! I got a 3 in my majors midterm! I did not deserve that, but God let me have it. Prayer warrior for Arven's successful thesis defense. Then there was tambay time at lunch (during which I realized that I did look like a drunk). Then there was class to deal with (FILDLAR and CITIGOV), then a really great worship at 6pm... astig lang talaga

WEDNESDAY: Skit for TREDTWO....praise God na tapos na yan. Then another quiz in majors. Somehow I got through it. One to ones also with Rhea, Lulu (kahit saglit lang) and Gayle. Asar trip thanks to Dan, Paul, and Vlad. And I stayed again for worship---during which napaiyak talaga ako. I think I was just so wiped out from such an overwhelming three days. But thank God that somehow everything is ok...

RIGHT NOW: Surviving chem, presentations, and more....andami talaga....pero I think God will be really good today...as He always is.
